BYB 302: How to Learn and Pivot in Your Boutique with Ciara Stockeland

Boost Your Boutique GUEST Podcast Graphics (7).png

December 12, 2018

Boutique Advice, Life Coaching, Business Tips

I've met another woman who was a boutique CEO, and I got her on to talk about what it REALLY takes to build and grow a boutique business. Ciara Stockeland, now owner of The Boutique Box, had a brick and mortar boutique-turned-franchise in the Midwest of the United States. She ran a 3000 square foot distribution center, managed massive wholesale order pick and pack shipping and in store everything. She decided to close it all down and follow her innate drive for being a start-up entrepreneur and create a business the fills the need of today's boutique owner.

The Boutique Box is a subscription box designed specifically for Boutique Owners and is the only thing like it on the market.

What I love about it is:
1. You're seeing brands you may never see at market or on the aggregate wholesale sites... AND getting full sized samples.
2. You're getting a discount on the wholesale prices: better margins!!!
3. You're working with someone who cares about your success and has been in your shoes. Ciara has brought on a boutique accountant and myself to help fill in the gaps in education within her community.

You can find more info and sign up at www.btqbox.com. This is the LAST week they can enroll month-month at $35/mo and if you enroll by December 15, 2018, you will get the December BOX! You can also follow Boutique Box on Instagram at @thebtqbox to see some of the samples you get in the box. My book, "The Ultimate Boutique Handbook" will be in the January box!!!

{BOOST YOUR BOUTIQUE PODCAST} Episode 205: Why You MUST Pay Yourself

I'm going DEEPER with this whole 'YOU'VE GOT TO PAY YOURSELF" idea this week. Because really guys, you HAVE to start taking a salary from your boutique business... and this week I'm going to tell you WHY you MUST pay yourself! I feel like I'm trying to convince boutique-land to adjust from a very old martyrdom mindset, to a "money flows in and out of my business with ease and grace" mindset!

Here's my top 3 reasons why you really MUST start paying yourself:

1. We have to evolve into a modern relationship with money! Te internet has changed everything but our ideas haven't- we still get caught up in the 'work hard, make money' mentality. Let's get excited to unplug from the old and plug into the new concept of money!

2. Most flows as energy-- when you don't pay yourself, you won't be able to spend it and they cycle of in/out energy flow gets blocked.

3. We love to be rewarded as humans!! Even a small amount to allocate to yourself to get your nails done or a dinner out can feed the positive flow and give your brain a pat on the back for putting your all into the business!
